  • Strengthen 2 bridges to meet standard truck load capacity standards in San Joaquin County

    Street striping to increase visibility and maintenance on 220 traffic signals, 11,575 street lights, and 30,677 traffic signs throughout Modesto
  • Full reconstruction and rehabilitation of Summer Street in Waterford--deemed the worst street in the city
  • Install centerline and edge line rumble strips to French Camp Road in San Joaquin County
  • Convert a four-way vehicle travel lane to two-way vehicle travel lane (one lane in each direction) and improve deficient sidewalks in the City of Patterson

  • Retrofit approximately 195 sidewalk curbs to meet current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards in San Joaquin County
  • Improvements at multiple locations in Turlock and on Morgan Road in Ceres to improve pedestrian safety around schools
  • Install rapid flashing signage and upgrade existing crosswalks at two crossings on Center Street to increase pedestrian and bicycle safety in the City of Stockton
  • Construct new pedestrian and sidewalk improvements on Whitmore Avenue across freight rail lines in the City of Hughson

  • Repaving approximately 92 miles of residential streets in Modesto
  • Pavement improvements on I-5 from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line

  • 50 projects improving local streets in Riverbank
  • 43 projects repaving local streets in Tracy
  • Repaving 33 residential and commercial streets throughout the City of Turlock
  • Improve 9.5 miles of SR 4 from east of Fresno Avenue to the Crosstown Freeway Viaduct in the City of Stockton

TRAFFIC CONGESTION RELIEFTRAFFIC CONGESTION RELIEF

  • Traffic calming measures including speed humps and traffic circles in 8 neighborhoods throughout Stockton to address safety concerns
  • Install traffic monitoring elements at multiple locations on I-5, SR 99, SR 120, and SR 4 in San Joaquin County
  • Widen and resurface Airport Way in the City of Manteca
  • Widen SR 99 from two to three lanes in the northbound direction from south of Hammatt Avenue to Merced/Stanislaus county line in Livingston
  • Widen the Fulkerth Road and northbound off-ramp and reconstruct the north and southbound off-ramps making room for two flow lanes and one HOV lane in each direction in the City of Turlock
  • Construct two roundabouts in Ceres to improve traffic flow and increase safety
  • Ramp widening and improvements on left and right ramp approaches along International Parkway (IP) at I-205 and Patterson Pass Road and International Parkway at I-580 interchange in the City of Tracy

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATIONPUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

  • New round trips between Fresno, Merced and Sacramento on the Amtrak San Joaquin line and expansion on the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) train service
  • Establish 2 round-trips every Saturday for the Altamont Corridor Express
  • Increase Route 26 and 38 frequency to 15 minutes on weekdays in Modesto via the Modesto Area Express
