  • Construct shoulder widening on Uvas Road in Santa Clara County and new guard rail and pedestrian/bicycle warning traffic signs

  • Widen overpass on the University Avenue/US 101 to provide safer pedestrian and bicycle travel and more efficient vehicle travel in East Palo Alto
  • Construct a pedestrian bridge at the Page Mill/Moon Lane crossing in Los Altos Hills
  • Install crosswalk flashers at 7 school sites in Contra Costa County
  • Install protected bikeway, intersections and new pedestrian signal on Walnut Avenue from Mission Boulevard to Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont
  • Enhance the safety of students walking to and from school by installing sidewalks along Hartley Street in the City of Lakeport

  • Pavement preservation project improving 33 miles of SR 1 from Pudding Creek Bridge to north of Wages Creek Bridge near the City of Fort Bragg

TRAFFIC CONGESTION RELIEFTRAFFIC CONGESTION RELIEF

  • Install ramp meters, carpool bypass lanes and traffic operations systems on I-680 in Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Clara Counties
  • Construct a lane between interchanges on SR 237 from Zanker Road to North First Street Overcrossing in San Jose
  • Widen ramps, install ramp meters and traffic operations systems on I-880 in Fremont and on SR 84 in Newark
  • Realign and widen Tassajara Road in Dublin to reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety
  • Implement 22 miles of managed lanes in San Mateo and Santa Clara on US 101
  • Convert existing (HOV) lanes to Express Lanes between SR 237 and Whipple Avenue and construct new managed lanes between Whipple Avenue and I-380 on US 101
  • Traffic management systems project will upgrade various traffic monitoring elements on SR 20, SR 29, US 101, SR 175 and SR 281 in Lake County and Mendocino County to improve data transmission

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATIONPUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

  • BART extension into downtown San Jose and out to Santa Clara, creating 4 new stations. Will serve over 52,000 new riders per day in 2035 and increase connectivity to Caltrain, Amtrak, and transit services at San Jose Diridon station.
  • 272 new BART rail vehicles, increase train frequency to 30 trains per hour through the Transbay tunnel, increase in train length to 10 car trains during peak hours to alleviate crowding. Allows for over 200,000 new daily BART riders.
  • Service improvements for Caltrains to include the replacement of old diesel fleet with high-performance electric trains
  • Deploy 45 zero-emission buses to expand fleet for the Alameda Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit)
  • 8 zero-emissions vehicles for Muni light rail system for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA)
  • Increased passenger rail trips on weekdays and weekends for Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) District
  • Add express bus routes along US 101 in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and San Francisco counties using 37 zero-emission vehicles to reduce travel times and improve reliability
  • Secure 59 new 40-foot hybrid diesel-electric buses to replace existing diesel buses for the Alameda Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit)
  • Development and construction of a multi-modal transit center in the City of Ukiah
